Jana Cantua Branding
I had the pleasure of working with talented photographer Jana Cantua on a refresh for her brand. Jana’s work spans a range of industries but is always full of color, emotion, and warmth. We wanted her branding to reflect the nuanced and personal nature of her work, while also feeling at home in the fashion, lifestyle, and product spaces in which she typically shoots. It was a joy to collaborate with a fellow artist and create a brand that felt true to her vision.
Jana’s previous wordmark was also a script, and while we liked the way that was working, the style felt a little too clean and commercial for the direction of her brand. We refreshed the logo by creating a custom, hand-drawn mark that retained some intentional imperfections. This style was then extended to supporting icons and patterns and brought to life by a vibrant color palette.
